bridge over troubled waters
As my grandpa withered from Alzheimer's at the end of his life, I watched my mother step up, without a second thought, to be his caretaker and friend. She made the best out of every heart-wrenching phase, and showed a strength and loyalty that I feel often goes unseen in our world. I saw it, and felt that others should see it too. Do not overlook the power of selflessly caring for the ones who've cared for you. One would think that would be obvious, but look around you - it's an anomaly.
Sail on, silver man
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
